Tourists Returning to Indonesia

Government security forces managed to keep Islamic terrorists and Islamic radicals in general, under control in 2006. There were no major terrorist attacks, and the sectarian violence was kept down as well.

I have spoken to my various sources on the major islands and they reported that the tourists are returning albeit at a slow pace. The Indonesian government has kept a tight hold, security wise, on the island of Bali thus enabling their tourism to steadily rise.

All that is needed now is for the Indonesian Tourism Authority to promote this beautiful archipelago in every way possible. In the past, the government has been mildly successful but there is still a long way to go before tourism in Indonesia returns to its former glory.
