Restaurants in Yogyakarta: Central Java

The cultural heart of Java, Yogyakarta, is not only famous for its temples and antiquities, culture and friendly people it is also renowned for its great food.

There are literally hundreds of excellent places to imbibe in a delicious meal, whether it be Indonesian food or Western. Of course warungs number in the thousand and some of the best and authentic Yogyanese food can be obtained from the kaki lima along Jalan Malioboro.
