Villa Imogiri: Ubud, Bali

Whenever I visit Bali, I always stay at my favourite homestay, the Prawita Cottages. It’s warm and friendly and the folk that own it are now good friends of both mine and Candika, my wife. It’s perfect for what I need and want for relaxation, close to all amenities, and my friend Nick O’Neil from Baliblog is often down there having a swim in the fair size pool. Just veering away from the subject of homeliness in a place to stay when you are in Bali, the idea of residing in total luxury when I’m on paradise isle is far from my desire.

In Bali there are literally hundreds of top-class hotels, luxury villas and the like, but, there is one in Ubud that tops the lot – Villa Imogiri. I was looking at their site the other day and it really is over-the-top for my liking, but, if that is your taste and your wallet is fat enough then this has to be the place on your next visit to the island.
