Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono – The Popularity Wains: Indonesia
Ever since the downfall [or demise] of Soeharto, presidents have come and gone and most not being very successful in the eyes of the Indonesian people. However, when SBY (pictured right) came onto the scene, he was an instant hit. And now, after some time in the top job his popularity seems to be fading.
Indonesian President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono’s popularity rating has dived to its lowest level since he took office two and a half years ago.
According to the latest poll by the Indonesian Survey Institute, the decline is mainly due to his inability to lift the country’s struggling economy.
