Repairing a Sick Planet: Bali
Let’s face it, our planet is slowly – NO – dying fast, and faster than most believe are led to believe. All hopes, if any, are resting with the delegates at the Bali Climate Conference being held in Bali this week. Hopes of a successful conference are high, partly because countries are not expected to sign up to any specific commitments. The Bali meeting follows a spate of high-profile reports in the past year warning of the impacts of climate change. And, developing countries will push for a new system of credits to help slow the rate of deforestation. Trees store carbon dioxide, the main greenhouse gas, when they grow.
