Mask Exhibition: Kubu Bingin Art Kampong, Ubud, Bali

At a mask exhibition at the Kubu Bingin Art Kampong, Ubud, Bali, between February 24 and July 22, at least 138 masks–originating from Bali, Lombok, Modang, Bahao, Kenyah (Kalimantan), Madura, Malang, Solo, Yogya, the Merapi Foothills, Dieng, Wonosobo, Cirebon, Losari, Batak and Irian—are on display.

According to the director of the event committee, Justinus Puspo Bhuwono, most of the masks are comical figures from traditional performance arts as the article in the Tempo Magazine reports.
