C’s Steak & Seafood Restaurant: Central Jakarta, West Java

C’s Steak & Seafood Restaurant offers not only a variety of appetizing cuisines to satisfy your palate but also presents a feast for the eyes. Stepping into the upscale restaurant, you will find thousands of bottles (the management says there are 3,000) of red and white wine arranged inside glass cellars in such a way as to create an attractive entrance.

The wood panel floor provides a sense of exclusivity and warmth. Combined with the wood-theme decor, the restaurant at Grand Hyatt Jakarta is a perfect sanctuary for food enthusiasts.

“We have a restaurant that provides good food and an excellent ambience,” marketing communications manager Gina Desmeralda said.

C’s provides food lovers a choice of grilled steak and seafood. Duck pancake, pan-fried foie gras and buffalo mozzarella are available for appetizer while the main course is king prawns with crushed black pepper and steamed asparagus in hollandaise sauce, to name a few.

If people visit C’s at present, they can enjoy a dim sum promotion. It offers favorites like loong har kau (tropical lobster dumpling), hay kau (crab dumpling), loong har fu pay quin (lobster in bean curd roll) and kai wu kok (chicken dumpling).

The dim sum is available every Saturday and Sunday at Rp 25,000 to Rp 55,000 per portion.

Usually, C’s offers steak, seafood or a combination of both on a platter. This is to anticipate couples or business groups who have different food preferences.

For businesspeople, C’s offers its Business Lunch, which is especially prepared to cater for those in a hurry. This includes a selection of salads, soups, sandwiches, pastas and more at prices from Rp 40,000 to Rp 150,000.

The best thing is that guests can enjoy the dishes while watching the chefs prepare the food in an open kitchen.

Guests will be impressed by the interior, which presents a combination of simple and functional design; almost everything that beautifies the spacious rooms has a function.

For example, the ingredients with which the chefs cook the food like onions, eggplants or potatoes are stored in wooden drums placed among the dining tables as decoration.

Some fruit on tables also provide a colorful contrast to the dark brown furniture.

“The fruit functions as an ornament and is edible,” Gina added.

Why call it “C’s”? Gina says the restaurant has a concept of open and transparent decor. The management, she added, identified 150 words starting with the letter “C” to describe the spirit of the venue.

The words include Culture, Cabernet, Chardonnay, Cellar, Country, Caramel, Chefs and Cuisine. The restaurant has four private rooms whose names start with the letter “C” too: Capital, City, Copper and Coco.

All the rooms have their own individual allure. Capital and City are the favorites because they overlook Hotel Indonesia traffic circle, a focal point of the capital city.

Meanwhile, Copper and Coco are charming for their walls adorned respectively with copper and coconut shells.

In addition, the Cascade terrace has a water cascade along one wall.
