Accommodation on Batam Island: North Sumatra

There is losmen accommodation available on Batam Island but it is not of good quality and is best avoided mainly because the price is grossly inflated. These are mainly found down back lanes. A majority of places to stay at are starred hotels ranging from 3 star right up to ultra-luxurious 5 star. If you are on a budget then the smaller hotels are nice places to stay. Like anywhere in Indonesia it is recommended you bargain the cost of the room and do check the room out first before you commit and had over your precious Ben Franklins.

The main accommodation area on Batam Island really is in the Nagoya area and it is here where you will find the main entertainment district.
